The Blizzards were formed by Niall Breslin and a bunch of school friends- Dec Murphy, Anthony Doran and Aidan Lynch back in late 2004 and the career of this Mullingar five-piece has since unfolded with intense speed. Exemplifying the ‘hardest working band in show business' model, the band toured the country, almost non-stop. Their growing fan base no doubt helping their debut single, the self-released ‘First Girl to Leave Town', to land in at number 11 the Irish charts.

That turned heads in the music industry and saw the band sign to Universal Music Ireland whose speculation quickly paid off with the top 10 success of ‘Trouble'. The past two years since then have seen the smart pop-rockers release a further top ten smash ‘Miss Fantasia Preaches', whilst their debut album, which was Produced by legendary US producer Michael Beinhorn (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Korn, Soundgarden) has already gone platinum.

The band's second album 'Domino Effect' delighted fans and new comers alike when released on September 12th 2008. The album was preceded on August 29th by 1st single 'Trust Me, I'm a Doctor' which was a massive hit on radio and in the charts!

The band released their current track "And Another Thing" as part of the Domino Effect Mini-Album in October 2009.
